Club History and Purpose

The Buffalo Soldiers MC of Washington was founded February 2004 by Marvin "Big Sarge" Smartt  and Frank "BigDaddy" Boone.  Approval for Member At Large Status was granted to "Big Sarge" on February 28, 2004 by a unanimous vote of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Clubs. Chapter approval was granted on October 16, 2004 by a unanimous vote of the NABSMC.  We are a African American motorcycle organization. The members and chapters do not discriminate against race, religion, gender or ethnic origin. We are a organization comprised of minority members and accept those who share our values and support our cause. We are dedicated to riding and the "Biker" way of life. We live to ride with the wind in our face and long for the brotherhood that comes from a group riding together. We are not a 1% club and we claim no territory however, we take our club and our membership seriously. Our colors represent a long history and we do not wear them without pride and respect. Our colors pay homage to African Americans that gave their lives so that we could be here today. They are a badge of courage, sacrifice and honor, "Lest We Forget".  We are not a weekend joy riders club. Our Colors, clubs, families, and community are what we strive to protect and make better for our youth. Respect in the motorcycle community and respect in Spokane, Washington is what we are about. Instilling pride in the minds and hearts of African Americans and our youth of today is our goal. We believe in our heritage as Kings and Queens, warriors, and builders of glorious nations. We believe that our homage to heroes from the past, like the Buffalo Soldiers, and the present, like our African American CEO's, Lawyers and Doctors will serve to strengthen the values of today's African American youth. "WE CAN: WE WILL".

We are a non-profit organization and we strive to raise funds and donations for our favorite charities and other   non-profit organizations. We do this by holding local events and rides in our community. We also rely on the generosity of our members and supporters in the community. We are a "Community Involvement" club and plan to participate in many community affairs. If you would like for us to visit your school, church or youth organization to share the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers, our club is always "Ready and Forward".
